Someone has an itch about the current policy, and proposes a change to the list. The list discusses the proposal. "Most of the people are in favour of it" -> the proposal is formalized, and re-circulated on the list (and discussed in the RIPE meetings). If we have "rough consensus" that this is the way to go forward, it's incorporated into the existing policy. A somewhat more formal policy process is, right now, being worked upon, and we're waiting for a formal policy proposal on the policy process to-be from Rob Blokzijl :-) Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- Total number of prefixes smaller than registry allocations: 66629 (65398) SpaceNet AG Mail: netmaster at Space.Net Joseph-Dollinger-Bogen 14 Tel : +49-89-32356-0 80807 Muenchen Fax : +49-89-32356-299
