The "Local Internet Registry Training Course" is a one-day introduction to administrative procedures and policies related to obtaining and distributing Internet resources [i.e. IP addresses, AS Numbers and reverse DNS delegation) and operating a Local Internet Registry (LIR)].
The "Basic IPv6 Training Course" is a one-day course about the need for IPv6 and includes basic information on how to plan your deployment.
This course offers an in-depth look into Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). It covers the basics of how it works through to advanced topics such as route reflectors, policy, filtering, route selection and the security aspect of the protocol. The course also covers bogon filtering, Internet Routing Registries and the Resource Certification (RPKI) framework. Participants are able to reinforce the theory through practice with our interactive exercises following each topic.
The "RIPE Database Training Course" is an introductory course to the usage of the RIPE Database. It is a practical hands-on course with exercises. It covers the RIPE Database in much greater depth than the LIR Training Course
"Advanced IPv6" is a two-day IPv6 course. Topics include IGP, BGP, security and configuration.
In order to attend this course, you must have participated in the "Basic IPv6 Training Course" or have a certificate from the "Introduction to IPv6 Course" in the RIPE NCC Academy.
The "DNSSEC Training Course" is an introductory, hands-on course on DNSSEC. It covers basic DNS theory, public key encryption basics and guides the participants in securing their domain name servers and zones.
The Measurements and Tools Training Course is an introductory hands-on course to RIPEStat and RIPE Atlas.
RIPEStat is a web-based interface providing information about any given IP address space, Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs), and related information for hostnames and countries in one place.
It presents registration and routing data, DNS data, geographical information, abuse contacts, blacklists and more from the RIPE NCC's internal datasets as well as from external sources.
RIPE Atlas is the largest Internet measurement network ever made. RIPE Atlas employs a global network of probes that actively measure Internet connectivity and reachability, providing an unprecedented understanding of the state of the Internet in real time.
Workshops on a variety of topics can be offered on request.
