RIPE Database Associate Exam
RIPE Database Associate
A RIPE Database Associate is proficient in searching for and interpreting data in the RIPE Database. Candidates who hold this certification have demonstrated the ability to update and register data in the RIPE Database. These candidates can use different flags to query IP address space (IPv4 and IPv6), as well as register assignments and sub-allocations by applying authority delegation mechanisms. They can also register routing policies, and set-up reverse delegation.
This exam certifies the ability to:
- Explain the purpose of the RIPE Database
- Identify different RIPE Database objects
- Register RIPE Database objects
- Query the RIPE Database using different flags
- Register routing policy
- Request reverse delegation
Requirements to Earn the RIPE Database Associate Badge
The RIPE Database Associate badge can be earned by successfully completing the RIPE Database Associate Exam. The exam takes place online, under the supervision of a live remote proctor. In order the pass the exam, you must score a minimum of 70% in the exam.
Recommended Knowledge
- At least 6 months of experience in searching for, and creating, and updating objects in the RIPE Database, or participation in the RIPE Database training course (face-to-face or online)
- Proficiency with RPSL (Routing Policy Specification Language)
- Familiarity with IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting

Exam Duration
60 minutes
