Following publication of the RIPE NCC Conflict Arbitration Procedure, an Arbiters Panel has been appointed by the RIPE NCC Executive Board for the settlement of disputes and for the evaluation of requests for Internet number resources by the RIPE NCC.

In the case of a dispute, both parties should try to resolve the conflict themselves. Only if such an attempt has been tried unsuccessfully can any of the parties start a formal arbitration process by completing the "Request for Arbitration Form". The initiating party can select an arbiter from the Arbiters Panel. If this arbiter is not available, or if the other party objects to the selection of this arbiter, or the arbiter has a conflict of interest in the dispute, then the arbiter must be chosen according to the list of arbiters (see section B3 of the RIPE NCC Conflict Arbitration Procedure).
