On 30 October 2023, consensus was reached on RIPE Policy Proposal 2023-03, “Voluntary Transfer Lock”. RIPE Resource Transfer Policies have been amended accordingly.
To implement the voluntary transfer lock, it was proposed to the Board via email to amend the following RIPE NCC Procedural Documents:
The amendments entail adding a section describing the relevant request process in both documents. Further, it was proposed to update contact email addresses in the Procedural Documents, to remove reference to the IPv4 Transfer Listing Service, and to add an index in one of the documents.
The Board reviewed the proposed changes to the documents and shared some comments. The comments were incorporated and the Board approved both amended procedural documents.
Resolution EB#173-R-01
The RIPE NCC Executive Board approves the amendments to the RIPE NCC procedural documents “Transfer of Internet Number Resources and Change of a Member’s Official Legal Name” and “Independent Internet Number Resources – Contractual Relationship Changes Between Sponsoring LIR and End User”.
The resolution was adopted by majority.
