Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 16:57:29
what is the telegram channel?

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 16:58:23
There is a RIPE Community Telegram channel, set up by community members.

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 16:58:47
If you search on Telegram for RIPE Community you should find it and it should be open for all.

Ultra High Risk Countries, what countries exactly?

Wolfgang Zenker - 2022-10-26 17:28:27
it was on a few slides back. Iran, Syria, Yemen and North Korea, if I remember right. Please check the slides if you want the definitiv list

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:28:54
Iran Syria N. Korea Yemen didn't see Ukraine but I only glanced

Randy Bush - 2022-10-26 17:29:06
& cuba

Wolfgang Zenker - 2022-10-26 17:29:23
ukraine & russia were in a different category

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:29:29
How is Cuba or N. Korea included ?

Remco van Mook - 2022-10-26 17:29:39
UHR is Syria and Iran in our case

Matthias Merkel - 2022-10-26 17:29:43
very high sanctions list, this is about sanctions

Matthias Merkel - 2022-10-26 17:29:53
sanctions risk*

Remco van Mook - 2022-10-26 17:30:29
to be very clear, we don't come up with that list or definition

Randy Bush - 2022-10-26 17:32:06
For teaching me that the Oxford comma resolves ambiguity, I'd like to thank my parents, Sinead O'Connor and the Pope -- Aaron Suggs

Gaith Taha - 2022-10-26 17:32:35

Florian Streibelt - 2022-10-26 17:38:28

Randy Bush - 2022-10-26 17:48:25
and the RIPE NCC is very different from Bill's Bait and Sushi

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 17:48:39
Yes, I didn't get the point either.

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:48:59
His point is one is a for profit organization and another is not.

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 17:49:31
Yes but how is that relevant to the current resolution?

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:49:42
that I don't understand either.

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 17:49:56
He is just pushing his agenda.

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 17:50:04
And I'm tired of it tbh.

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:50:14
moving on

Ian Dickinson - 2022-10-26 17:50:16
i understand him very well

Ian Dickinson - 2022-10-26 17:50:20
yes poease

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 17:50:23
Good.

Ian Dickinson - 2022-10-26 17:50:26
*please

Livio Morina - 2022-10-26 17:52:19
so let's keep the paper ballot for some more years

Clément Cavadore - 2022-10-26 17:52:46
Does the new voting system supports IPv6 ? :D

Tristan Helmich - 2022-10-26 17:52:48
IPv6 was not a requirement?

Randy Bush - 2022-10-26 17:52:58
ianal, but the motion leaves the option of paper but allows electronic only

Randy Bush - 2022-10-26 17:55:25
woah! i have to install some unknown app on my device? not bloody likely!

Wolfgang Zenker - 2022-10-26 17:55:48
no app, works in a web browser

Job Snijders - 2022-10-26 17:56:19
I believe the presenter meant to share in order to verify the votes an app (software program) is used

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:56:29
the election in closed

Job Snijders - 2022-10-26 17:56:38
no app is required to cast votes

Tristan Helmich - 2022-10-26 17:56:55
I am seriously disappointed, v6 only network can not open the link to the voting!
No AAAA record!

Florian Streibelt - 2022-10-26 17:57:47
so what was it about the app then? *confused*

Gaith Taha - 2022-10-26 17:57:48
Give me your voting creds and I'll vote on your behalf ;)

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 17:57:57
I think a v6 only network with no NAT64 has other problems at this point in time.

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 17:58:03
you mean my voting number?

Tristan Helmich - 2022-10-26 17:58:13
Also not a fan that some email marketing company is part of the process and a full tracking link is sent out

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 17:58:13
Tristan, we'll look into that with Assembly Voting.

Tristan Helmich - 2022-10-26 17:58:45
Thanks Fergal, I am bringing this up every time and I head this statement every time. Nothing ever seems to change

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 17:59:20
Indeed. But we changed provider so now is the time to push this.

Cynthia Revström - 2022-10-26 18:02:06
I think making sure that the voting platform is fully IPv6 compliant is important. also I agree with Tristan that the tracking link is bad and should be removed, no email marketing company should be involved

Robert Scheck - 2022-10-26 18:02:30
Interesting there is an unsubscribe link in the e-mail, too.

Robert Scheck - 2022-10-26 18:02:45
So, can I unsubscribe from votings that I registered for? ;-)

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 18:02:57
You might want to

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 18:03:18
anything is possible.

Robert Scheck - 2022-10-26 18:03:45
I'm not sure if that makes sense, nor am I clear about the future impact, if unsubscribing now and registering with the same e-mail address for a further voting.

Yes, GCP here, too.

Harry Cross - 2022-10-26 18:04:36
It looks like it's a newsletter mailing system being used to send the votes out

Harry Cross - 2022-10-26 18:04:55
and it did just let me unsubscribe as well

Robert Scheck - 2022-10-26 18:05:13
Harry, will you let us know if you get a voting link next time?

Harry Cross - 2022-10-26 18:05:23
Will do

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 18:06:11
Thanks for these. We'll go back and try resolve these with Assembly Voting.

Florian Streibelt - 2022-10-26 18:06:17
oh nice, I just clicked the unsubscribe link by accident as this was the only link in the text part of the mail and Afmeld ws not translat3ed from dutch

Robert Scheck - 2022-10-26 18:06:28
Thanks, Fergal :)

Sascha Lenz - 2022-10-26 18:06:45
👏🏻

Christopher Gerard - 2022-10-26 18:06:49
The election is running from Wed, Oct 26, 2022, 6:07 PM to Fri, Oct 28, 2022, 9:00 AM

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 18:07:03
So the additional mail with the registration number should be coming in now?

Cynthia Revström - 2022-10-26 18:07:12
you should have gotten that already

Harry Cross - 2022-10-26 18:07:13
Although - is there not a way that Assembly Mail can send it themselves instead of via this random third party

Harry Cross - 2022-10-26 18:07:26
although I understand the deliverability pain!

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 18:08:09
When was the mail sent? I didn't see it. and the GM invitation stated that I should get it during the GM which I didnt

Fynn Scharfenorth - 2022-10-26 18:08:09
@Sebastian check your Junk, mine was in there

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 18:08:29
I'm not surprised there are some things to resolve as it gets quite complicated getting everything bang on with a new system. And I am interested to hear if the actual voting goes OK, so feel free to mail us [email protected] if you have any issues.

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 18:08:47
No it's not in the spam folder as well. what was the sender of the mail?

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 18:10:33
oh it was sent way back in august!

Sebastian Wiesinger - 2022-10-26 18:10:42
when I registered for the AGM

Cynthia Revström - 2022-10-26 18:11:13
is the recording going up anywhere, I didn't see the full livestream?

Cynthia Revström - 2022-10-26 18:11:36
(whoops, messed up the punctuation there but I hope you get my point)

Christian Bretterhofer - 2022-10-26 18:11:56
no voiting email link yet

Christian Bretterhofer - 2022-10-26 18:13:15
only the registration number 2h ago

Joachim Ernst - 2022-10-26 18:15:50
The "Vote in the RIPE NCC General Meeting October 2022" was from: Assembly Voting <[email protected]> and the "RIPE NCC GM: Voting Registration Number" was from: RIPE NCC <[email protected]>

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 18:16:30
Can you email [email protected] with the mail that should have received the vote and we'll check with Assembly Voting.

Christian Bretterhofer - 2022-10-26 18:17:04
done

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 18:17:23
Thanks Christian.

Fergal Cunningham - 2022-10-26 18:17:56
Cynthia, the recording will be up on the GM webpages as soon as we can get it up.

Joachim Ernst - 2022-10-26 18:18:03
