We are looking for an HR advisor to strengthen the HR team of the RIPE NCC. In this role you have a shared responsibility for the Recruitment process, the onboarding of new colleagues, and the support of expat colleagues. You also have an important role in optimizing talent development and employee engagement.

HR Advisor

Location: Amsterdam Central Station

Full-time/part-time working week is possible

 

In this broad and varied position, you will fulfill different roles. From recruiting and binding the right talent to the RIPE NCC, to supervising the onboarding of new (international). You will be their contact person through the process, and after they have started. You will proactively approach the employees to stay informed and answer all questions. 

You offer a listening ear, keep an eye on what is going on at the workplace and provide suggestions for improvement. In addition, you will play an important role in employee development, with the aim of increasing the connection and engagement with and between RIPE NCC employees, job satisfaction, vitality, and knowledge, to ensure that employees can perform their work in an optimal way.

 

Main responsibilities:

● Jointly responsible for the recruitment and selection of different vacancies within the RIPE NCC (both IT and non-IT). You will guide this process from start to finish, from writing vacancy texts, sourcing, advising managers, and planning interviews to offer management in collaboration with the HR advisors.

● Guide the onboarding and orientation process for new employees. You provide extra support during the introduction period and guide your new colleagues who come from abroad. You give extra attention to our expat colleagues and help them find their way within the RIPE NCC and within the Netherlands.

● Play a prominent role in activities related to increasing employee (talent) development and employee engagement. Both in measuring progress and in rolling out relevant projects.

● Make recommendations to the HR Director about the HR strategy in general and give input for the policy and process development.

● Being a sparring partner for the HR team and for managers regarding employee engagement projects.

● Visible, approachable, and helpful towards employees and managers.

 

What we are looking for:

● Bachelor's degree in the field of HR or related.

● Three to five years of work experience within corporate recruitment and/or an HR advisor role.

● Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch. The working language within RIPE NCC is English.

● Experience in international recruitment and relocation.

● Connector, proactive attitude, social mindset, and a team player mentality.

● Good project management and administrative skills.

● Able to think outside of the box and come with solutions. 

● Experience with AFAS is a plus.

 

What can you expect from us:

● An annual salary between €49.220 and EUR 65.000 gross. This includes 8% holiday pay.

The HR team:

The HR team consists of an HR director, three HR advisors, each with their own specialisms (from Recruitment, to HR advice, to payroll, etc.) and an HR administrator. As a team we work closely together and with all the other areas/departments of the organization.  We are constantly working on improving our internal service delivery, in line with the organizational values and objectives. In the HR advisor role, you will also work closely with other departments within RIPE NCC.
