Full Stack Web Developer 
Amsterdam Central Station  
37.5 hours per week (part-time is also possible)

As a Full Stack Web Developer in our Web Services team, you will be developing and maintaining the RIPE NCC websites. You’ll use your innovative and creative mindset to improve the quality of the web services that the RIPE NCC provides to its members. You are keen to use the latest technologies and techniques to develop and maintain our many websites. We are successfully working in a full-stack agile environment, making use of technologies such as Django, Plone, WordPress and Relational Databases.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain front and back end services
  • Support the use of pre-packaged software solutions
  • Write, test, deploy and maintain your code
  • Update documentation and user guides
  • Have the opportunity to attend our regional events (held across Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East)

What we expect from you:

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or in an engineering related field) or a minimum of three years’ professional work experience in software engineering
  • Minimum three years of experience working on a full stack including Python and SQL
  • Troubleshooting abilities, self-directed, and proactive
  • Communication skills, team playing skills, eagerness to learn and to share knowledge with others
  • Fluency in English

It would be nice if you also are:

  • Comfortable with UNIX-like OSes
  • Experienced with Django
  • Familiar with Plone
  • Familiar with WordPress
  • Knowledgeable of Vue.js
  • Acquainted with Ionic

The Team

We are a small, fun team of experienced developers, engineers and content managers with five different nationalities.We work closely together as a team but also with others in the organisation. We are responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining our numerous websites and mobile applications to meet the needs of both our 22,000 members and the wider Internet community. The vast service portfolio of the RIPE NCC and range of technical knowledge of our audience requires creativity, innovation and the ability to keep pace with the rapidly changing technical landscape.
