Internet Country Report on Central Asia Published

central asia news

Today we published a report on the state of the Internet in five different countries in Central Asia. This is the fifth in a series of country reports we’re producing to share RIPE NCC data with members of the technical community and decision makers, in order to inform discussions about Internet development throughout our service region.

The RIPE NCC Internet Country Report: Central Asia shines the spotlight on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, taking a detailed look at the region's history of development, its IPv4 and IPv6 holdings and its opportunity for future growth. We also examine Internet routing and network interconnections within the region as well as its access to the global domain name system (DNS), and we identify the different paths and providers offering transit into the region from the rest of the world.

You can download the report and learn more about its findings on RIPE Labs.

Please help us share the report with others you think may find it useful. If you’re interested in learning more, we’re hosting a RIPE NCC Open House session to discuss the report’s findings and how they relate to relevant Internet governance issues in Central Asia on 14 October from 08:00-09:30 UTC.

Register for the RIPE NCC Open House: Central Asia Internet Report.

If you’d like to discuss the report’s findings or have requests for other data, please contact our External Relations team.
