The IANA Numbering Services Review Committee will assist and advise the NRO Executive Councilwhen it conducts periodic reviews of the services that the IANA Numbering Services Operator provides to the Internet Number Community. The committee was required as part of the Internet Number Community's proposal to replace US Government oversight of the IANA functions. Three representatives from each RIR community will serve on the committee. As proposed by the RIPE Chair, the two community-elected NRO Number Council members and one RIPE NCC staff member who is appointed by the RIPE NCC Executive Board will participate on the RIPE community's behalf.
