Networking at CAPIF 4

Networking with CAPIF 4 Meeting attendees has never been easier!

In the peering world, peering agreements are often done through a handshake at a meeting or social event. This is why we are introducing the following sessions and tools to help facilitate networking opportunities at CAPIF 4:

Introduction to Peering and Peering Forums 101

Taking place on Thursday, 25 September, this session will provide participants with a foundational understanding of peering and interconnection. It will help explain not only the technical aspects of interconnection, but also how to interact with other peering prospects and how to become more involved in the peering ecosystem.

Peering Personals

The Peering Personals sessions offer peering coordinators a unique opportunity to deliver a short introduction to the audience, highlighting their organisation’s interconnection profile and peering objectives. The introduction should cover details of your AS Numbers, where you peer, peering policy, contact information, and explain why other participants should peer with you.

Peering Bilateral Meetings

CAPIF 4 provides the opportunity to strengthen and build new peering relationships with over 200 attendees during the event. We have set aside a two-hours session on Thursday, 25 September to allow for more peering negotiations and agreements. You can sign up for these meetings and invite other attendees using the Swapcard app.

Swapcard, the Networking App

This year we will be using Swapcard again as a networking tool. This networking app allows you to connect with other attendees as well as view the meeting details and agenda. You can register through this link.
