Speakers at RIPE NCC Educa::IPv6

We're delighted to welcome a panel of experts joining us for the RIPE NCC::Educa IPv6. Here is a short introduction to our expert speakers.

Bob Hinden

Bob Hinden is a Check Point Fellow at Check Point Software, and co-chairs the IPv6 working group in the Internet Engineeering Task Force (IETF). He was the co-recipient of the 2008 IEEE Internet Award for his pioneering work in the development of the first Internet routers.

Eric Vyncke

Eric Vyncke has over 20 years of experience as an engineer with Cisco Systems. He has authored books on LAN Security and Ipv6 Security. He is the co-Chair of the IPv6 Council in Belgium and the co-Chair of the OPSEC Working Group of the IETF.

Friso Feenstra

Friso Feenstra is an expert on DMZs and IPv6. He has extensive experience in IT, having worked at ING, Shell, and UPC among others. He also oversaw the transition to IPv6 at Rabobank, where he currently works.

Fred Baker

Fred Baker has worked as a senior engineer with Cisco Systems for over 20 years. He has authored over 50 RFCs used in the Internet today and was the Chairman and member of the Board of ISOC.

Jen Linkova

Jen Linkova is a Network Engineer at Google and Co-Chair of the RIPE IPv6 Working Group.

Jordi Palet Martinez

Jordi Palet Martinez is an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. He has authored documents on IPv6, contribute policies to RIRs, volunteered as a trainer and set up IPv6 Task Forces in multiple countries, in addition to engaging with IPv6 related commerical projects.

Mikael Abrahamsson

Mikael works in the Terastream project at Deutsche Telekom, with focus on dual stack Internet access (with IPv4-as-a-service) and Netconf/YANG management. He is also a member of the Board of Netnod, neutral and independent Internet infrastructure organisation based in Sweden.

Silvia Hagen

Silvia Hagen is the founder of Sunny Connection AG, an IT consulting company with expertise in IPv6. She is also the the author of 'IPv6 Essentials', and is the President of the Swiss IPv6 Council.

Tim Chown

Tim Chown has been involved in network operations and research for many years, both as a systems manager and as a lecturer. In addition to his, he is the Co-Chair of the UK IPv6 Council.

Timo Hilbrink

With a background in electrical engineering, Timo has been working as a
network engineer at XS4ALL since 1997, and has been working mostly on
access and datacenter infrastructure. As part of the XS4ALL networking
team, he has been involved in adopting IPv6 both in the network as well
as in the organisation.
