RIPE NCC and CITC Sign Memorandum of Understanding

news

The MoU focuses on cooperation around capacity building efforts through training courses, meetings, workshops, and the RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI). It also includes Internet measurements using RIPE Atlas, the RIPE NCC's global Internet measurement platform. The RIPE NCC will also cooperate with CITC to provide reports on Saudi Arabia's Internet infrastructure and provide technical expertise as needed.

The agreement was signed at an online ceremony attended by H.E. Dr. Mohamad Tamimi, Governor, CITC and Hans Petter Holen, Managing Director, RIPE NCC.

Both parties will focus on e-learning, especially during and post COVID-19, through the RIPE NCC Academy and RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative, allowing students to learn about the latest technology while at the same time bridging the gap between the needs of universities and industry.

The RIPE NCC and CITC will also cooperate on enhanced Internet measurements using RIPE Atlas and will work together to further its deployment in Saudi Arabia.

This MoU is the latest formalised agreement for greater cooperation between the RIPE NCC and one of the many external organisations we work with, including governments, regulators, technical bodies, industry groups, law enforcement agencies, academic institutions and others.
