Electronic Voting at the NRO NC Election - November 2021

The election to fill one NRO NC seat will take place at the RIPE 83 Meeting from 22-26 November 2021. All members of the RIPE community who are checked in to attend the RIPE 83 Meeting may vote in the election. The election will be conducted electronically and each attendee will have one vote. The nominee with the most votes will be elected.
The voting for this election will be conducted electronically. The RIPE NCC has engaged BigPulse, an external company that specialises in web-based voting solutions, to conduct the poll. No paper ballots will be issued. Each RIPE 83 attendee will have one vote. The nominee with the most votes will be elected.
 

All votes cast during the NRO NC election are completely anonymous.

Casting a Vote at the NRO NC Election

All RIPE Meeting attendees (except RIR staff) are eligible to register to vote in the NRO NC election. You can select the option to vote in the NRO NC election while registering for RIPE 83. If you have already registered for the meeting, use your unique link to your meeting registration options, and select the option to vote. You can use the same link to check-in for the RIPE 83 meeting once the meeting opens.You must be checked-in by the time voting registration closes in order to be eligible to vote.

Registration to vote and check-in closes at 14:00 (UTC+1) on Tuesday, 23 November 2021. After this time, registered voters will receive a voting link. This is a personal auto-sign-in link that enables the user to cast one vote.

Voting opens at 17:00 (UTC+1) on Tuesday, 23 November 2021. From this time, all people with a link can access the voting pages and cast their vote.

Votes can be cast until 10:30 (UTC+1) on Friday, 26 November 2021.

Results of the Voting

At 10:30 (UTC+1) on 26 November, the trusted third-party software will notify the RIPE NCC of the results of the voting.

The RIPE Chair will announce the results of the voting to the RIPE 83 audience during the closing plenary session. The announcement will also be webcast for remote participants.
