OGERO (Organisme de Gestion et d'Exploitation de l'ex Radio Orient) was founded by the Lebanese State in 1972 to continue the work of the former French company Radio Orient. Since then OGERO work has evolved to become the main operator of the fixed telecommunications network in Lebanon for the benefit of the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications.



The RIPE NCC is one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) that support the global operation of the Internet. The RIPE NCC is an independent, not-for-profit organisation responsible for distributing and administering Internet number resources for over 13,000 members in Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia. The organisation supports the global Internet community by providing data, expertise and a neutral platform for the exchange of ideas.
