The RIPE NCC Signs MoU with Tajikistan to Strengthen Internet Resilience and Cooperation
Dushanbe, 15 May 2025 – The RIPE NCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Tojiktelecom JSC, establishing a framework for long-term cooperation on Internet development in the country.

The agreement focuses on key areas such as IPv6 deployment, routing security through RPKI, infrastructure resilience, capacity building, and international engagement. It also reflects Tajikistan’s recognition of the RIPE NCC as a trusted regional authority supporting the stable and secure operation of Internet infrastructure.
In a video address from the RIPE 90 Meeting in Lisbon, RIPE NCC Managing Director Hans Petter Holen said:
“This MoU is a milestone in our shared commitment to strengthening the Internet infrastructure and capabilities of Tajikistan. It reflects our mutual focus on resilience, security, and international collaboration, and sets the stage for concrete action in the months ahead.”
This agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the RIPE NCC and the Internet community in Tajikistan, including the deployment of a K-Root server in the country through the RIPE NCC’s Community Projects Fund. It also follows the successful partnership model established in Uzbekistan, where a similar MoU has led to an active collaboration and the development of a country-specific action plan.
As part of this new agreement, the RIPE NCC and its Tajik partners will organise an Internet Measurement Day and deliver technical training sessions later this year. These efforts aim to support data-driven policymaking, enhance local expertise, and promote a more robust national Internet infrastructure.
The RIPE NCC extends its appreciation to Mr. Isfandiyori Sadullo and Mr. Daler Gairatov for their leadership and commitment to this shared vision.
