Our Quarterly Sanctions Transparency Report (Q2 2026) is now available to read.

These reports provide data on how RIPE NCC members, End Users and legacy resource holders are affected by sanctions, while respecting their confidentiality and privacy.

New AS Number Blocks Allocated to the RIPE NCC

Legacy Out of Contract

RIPE NCC staff took a look at legacy address space, specifically at blocks that still need to be brought under contract, to try to get a clearer picture of what kind of behaviour they’re seeing coming from them.

Introducing the new RIPE NCC Academy Platform

The RIPE NCC Academy was fully redesigned to help learners more easily discover courses, certifications and upcoming training opportunities across topics including IPv6, routing, Internet governance and Internet registry operations.

Updated BGP Security in-person course

The RIPE NCC Learning and Development team has recently updated the in-person BGP Security Training Course, which is available to RIPE NCC members:

The updated course now includes new theory on Route Leak Prevention and Detection, based on RFC 9234, as well as a new lab: “Setting up BGP Roles and Exploring OTC.”

Operational Review of Public ENUM Under e164.arpa

A 2026 operational review of Public ENUM under e164.arpa found that half of the current delegations show some form of DNS problem. This article, published ahead of RIPE 92, looks at the operational status of Public ENUM under e164.arpa and the questions around its future support.

ASO Notice on ICANN FY27 Plans and Bylaws Amendments

The ASO notified the community of ICANN Board approval of FY27 plans and budgets, plus bylaws amendments affecting Specific Reviews, the Customer Standing Committee and IANA Naming Function Reviews. Rejection petitions are due by 1 June 2026, while comments on the Fundamental Bylaws Amendments are due by 9 June 2026.

RIR Governance Document Version 2: Status Report May 2026 Now Available

The Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) has updated the Q1 Status Reportbased on discussions held during the in-person meetings at ICANN 85.

4. Organisational Update

General Meeting May 2026 Results

The May 2026 General Meeting took place in Edinburgh from 20-22 May 2026. Members approved Resolution 1, discharging the Executive Board, and Resolution 2, adopting the Financial Report 2025. For Resolution 3, on the Charging Scheme, the membership selected Model A: One LIR Account, One Fee.

An Executive Board election was also held to fill three seats. Raymond Jetten and Maria Häll were re-elected, and Lars-Johan Liman was elected. Congratulations to all three.

Updated Draft RIPE NCC Strategy 2027-31 Published

The updated Draft RIPE NCC Strategy 2027-2031 has now been published. This version of our five-year strategy is the last version we will publish before finalising the strategy at the Executive Board meeting in June 2026.
