New IPv6 Advanced Course

We have launched a new IPv6 Advanced e-learning course in the RIPE NCC Academy. Through this course, participants can learn how to design an IPv6 infrastructure in order to deploy IPv6 across various network types and architectures.

2. Information Services

Finalising the MD5 Password Phase-Out

We removed passwords from the RIPE Database on 14 January and will remove support for passwords from the software in the Whois 1.121 release on 4 March.

4. Organisational Update

Register Now for the RIPE NCC General Meeting May 2026

The General Meeting will take place 20–22 May 2026 in Edinburgh and online. Members can attend in person or remotely and vote online on key resolutions, including the Executive Board election (three seats).

Call for Nominations – RIPE NCC Executive Board Election 2026

Nominations are open for three Executive Board seats (three-year terms). Candidates must receive support from at least five RIPE NCC members. Nomination deadline: 29 April 2026 at 23:59 (UTC).

Call for Volunteers for Arbiters Panel

We are inviting volunteers to join the RIPE NCC Arbiters Panel. To volunteer to be an arbiter, please send an email to agm@ripe.net to register your interest and we will respond with the application form. Please fill it out and return it to us by Friday, 6 March 2026.
