Travel Privacy and Confidentiality Terms

In order for us to be able to evaluate your application for sponsored travel to a RIPE NCC organised event, we need you to provide us with certain information. 

We will use the information you have provided to:

  • Communicate with you
  • Arrange your travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Assist in your visa application process (if required)
  • Evaluate your application. A selection committee consisting of RIPE NCC staff and RIPE community members (if applicable) will review the information that you provide.
  • Connect you with a RIPE community mentor or RIPE Fellow coach (if applicable)
  • List you as a recipient of RIPE NCC sponsorship on the official RIPE NCC-organised event website and the RIPE NCC website (if applicable)

Unless you instruct us otherwise, your contact details may be shared with certain third parties providing the services described above. 

Whether or not you are selected for sponsored travel, we will keep your name and/or other information (such as country of residence) for a period longer than the duration of the relevant RIPE NCC-organised event. The purpose of this is to maintain an administrative record of the applications received for sponsored travel and to make it possible for us to communicate with applicants regarding expense claim reimbursement, administrative matters etc.
