RIPE Mentoring Privacy and Confidentiality Terms
In order for us to be able to evaluate your interest in the RIPE Mentor programme, we need you to provide us with certain information. Mentor and mentee matching is done on a best-effort basis by the RIPE NCC.
If you are one of the successful candidates, we will use the contact details you provided to:
- Communicate with you if we find an appropriate mentee for an upcoming meeting
- If you confirm your interest, sharing your email address with a paired mentee
If you gave your consent to keep your information on the list for the next and future RIPE Meeting mentoring opportunities, we will keep your name and basic contact details (such as email, country of residence) in an internal database for a period longer than the relevant RIPE Meeting. The purpose of this is to maintain a list of RIPE Meeting mentors and mentees for future meetings and to inform you by email of future opportunities to participate in the programme.
You can request to be removed from this internal database at any time by emailing mentoring@ripe.net
For further details on how we process the personal information you provide, and instructions on how to access and change your information, please refer to theRIPE NCC Privacy Statement.
