Contact Form Privacy and Confidentiality Terms

Personal data

The RIPE NCC is processing personal data adhering to the Dutch data protection legislation.

For the purposes of the Contact Form, the RIPE NCC requests that your full name (first and last) and email address be provided. If you are contacting the RIPE NCC as an individual by using an already existing RIPE NCC Access account, these personal details will be automatically retrieved from your RIPE NCC Access account. If you wish to contact the RIPE NCC on behalf of a specific RIPE NCC member and your RIPE NCC Access Account is associated with one (or more) LIR account(s), the legal name of this member together with the RegID of the LIR account you selected will appear next to your personal details.

The reason this personal data is required is to allow the RIPE NCC to handle the question you raised when submitting the Contact Form, provide you with any requested information, and further investigate the matter as appropriate.

For this reason, and before you submit the Contact Form, the RIPE NCC asks for your informed and unambiguous consent to use your personal data. If, at any time, you wish to withdraw your consent on this type of processing, please inform the RIPE NCC accordingly by sending an email at [email protected].

The RIPE NCC will store your personal data for as long as it is necessary and appropriate.

Your personal data will only be used for the purposes described above and will not be communicated to any third parties. If you are contacting the RIPE NCC about incorrect information in the RIPE Database, we will share your contact details with the person responsible for this registration in the RIPE Database.

The RIPE NCC maintains a high level of physical security and protection for all its computer and network facilities, and, in particular, for those in which personal information may be stored.

Your privacy rights

You have the right to access your personal data and the right to request rectification and erasure of your personal data.

If you wish to know which of your personal data the RIPE NCC is processing, you may request this in written form. The RIPE NCC will process your request within four weeks from the date we received your request.

In case your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, please ask the RIPE NCC to make the necessary updates by sending an email at [email protected]. If you are contacting the RIPE NCC via your RIPE NCC Access account, you may access and/or make changes to your personal details after having logged in to your account.

For any additional information or questions on any of the above matters, please refer to the RIPE NCC Privacy Statement or email us at [email protected].

If you want to receive more information on the legal framework applicable to the processing of personal data and the responsibilities of the relevant parties, please refer to the website of the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

In order for the RIPE NCC to investigate the question about which you are contacting us, we may have to share some of the information you provide with the party your question is about.

Please make sure that the information you provide in the Contact Form and the Attachment field does not include any data you would not like to be shared. This includes any confidential information or any personal data you do not have permission to make available for the purposes of this Contact Form.

In case you are contacting the RIPE NCC in order to report violation of RIPE Policies and/or RIPE NCC Procedures or the provision of untruthful information to the RIPE NCC, please note that your report and any attachments will be shared with the party the report is about.

In case your question is about incorrect information in the RIPE Database, we will share all the information you provide, including your contact details, with the person responsible for the registration.
