RIPE NCC Launches Technical Emergency Hotline


The RIPE NCC is proud to announce the launch of the RIPE NCC Technical Emergency Hotline.

This new service is the result of feedback received from RIPE NCC members and the RIPE community following the reverse DNS outage in June 2012.

The after-hours hotline is operated by a reputable call centre trained to evaluate incoming calls and forward the details of a legitimate report immediately to the appropriate RIPE NCC 24/7 team.

If an outage is suspected, one should first check the Service Announcement page as this will be the first place a service disruption will be posted once verified by the 24/7 team.

As this is a new service, we will be watching its usage closely over the next few months and will share our findings on RIPE Labs in Q1 2013.
