Dr Yousif Asfour, Chief Information Officer of the AUB signs agreement with Axel Pawlik, RIPE NCC Managing Director

Axel Pawlik, Managing Director of the RIPE NCC, said the agreement was about growing what is already an effective relationship. “The AUB has been a valuable partner as we have worked to offer more support to our members in the region in recent years. We have already collaborated on a number of successful meetings and academic initiatives and we look forward to many more.”

“We are excited to work with the RIPE NCC to help develop the Internet and support the acquisition of skills in Lebanon and the region,” said Dr Yousif Asfour, AUB Chief Information Officer. “Serving our region and developing knowledge is core to AUB's mission and this partnership has been a great help.”

The RIPE NCC has been working to formalise the relationships we have with external parties, which include governments, regulators, technical bodies, industry groups, law enforcement agencies, academic institutions and others. Not only do these agreements strengthen our existing relationships, they also provide transparency to the RIPE community on the nature of this cooperation. You can learn more about our external engagement with these parties in this RIPE Labs article, or see a list of the different agreements and memberships we have with external parties.
