RIPE NCC Open House: Charging Scheme Principles

On 20 September 2021, the RIPE NCC Executive Board invited members to share their thoughts on the principles that should apply to the Charging Scheme model. The recording and presentation are provided here.

In May 2021, the RIPE NCC Executive Board presented on the principles of the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme at the General Meeting (GM). The Board is now consulting with members on the core principles that we should incorporate in our charging schemes for the coming years.

The first step in this process was to ask members to complete a survey, to help gauge where the membership stands on some key principles. While in some cases there was not a clear answer, the survey helped to identify some key principles that most members want to see us apply to the charging scheme.

The Executive Board will examine the results of the survey at its Executive Board meeting on 23 September and present its analysis and a proposal to the membership at the GM in November.
