Again, a description of what is, which is not what I was talking about
(except by way of contrast).

Actually, about both.

Additionally, about using confusingly similar names for them and then
determinedly drawing a hard line between them, something practically
guaranteed to confuse - especially since what you're calling the RIPE
NCC is what the rest of the world ends up thinking of as "RIPE"
(because it's the only face seen of either of them).

Again, describing the current RIPE / RIPE NCC paradigm, which I see as
a substantial part of the problem.
