SEEKING INPUT ON "ALLOCATED PI" / "ALLOCATED UNSPECIFIED"
During RIPE 72, the RIPE NCC was asked to suggest a way forward
regarding the unclear situation arising from address blocks in the RIPE
Database with the status "ALLOCATED PI" or "ALLOCATED UNSPECIFIED". We
recently sent a proposal to the RIPE Address Policy Working Group.

To make it easier to interpret RIPE Database search results, we now
highlight the responsible organisation and abuse contact for a resource
at the top of the page in yellow.

Did you know it's possible to query the history of operational data
objects that still exist?

We often receive requests from people who wish their queries could
search all available databases. You can already do this — simply select
“Search resource objects in all available databases” under the “Sources”
tab when querying the RIPE Database.

IXP TOOLS HACKATHON
On the weekend before RIPE 73 we will be running a hackathon focused on
developing tools for Internet Exchange Points. Come and participate!

RIPE ATLAS
Until now, native IPv4 and IPv6 has been one of the conditions of
hosting a RIPE Atlas anchor. However, we realise that IPv6 simply isn't
available in some ASNs. As a result, we've decided to support IPv4-only

IANA STEWARDSHIP TRANSITION
The NTIA has announced that they intended to allow the IANA functions
contract to expire on 1 October 2016. You can find the full announcement

There is a call for public comment on three agreements concerning
intellectual property rights (IPR) related to the IANA stewardship

RACI
The RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI) connects members of the
academic community with the RIPE community by inviting students and
researchers to present their Internet-related research at meetings. We
are now accepting RACI applications for ENOG 12 and RIPE 73, apply
