The Address Policy Working Group develops policies relating to the allocation and registration of Internet number resources (IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and ASNs) by the RIPE NCC and its members. Anyone with an interest in Internet numbering issues is welcome to observe, participate and contribute to the WG.

The Anti-Abuse Working Group is open to anyone with an interest in combating network abuse. Areas such as cybersquatting and hosting illegal content are beyond the scope of the WG. The WG advises relevant parties such as Internet service providers (ISPs), governments and law enforcement agencies on both technical and non-technical methods of tackling abuse. This mailing list was previously the "anti-spam-wg", the archives of which are still publicly available on the RIPE NCC website.

The Best Current Operational Practices (BCOP) Task Force was formed at RIPE 67 in October 2013 to initiate and coordinate the process of documenting good common operational practices in networking.

The Database Working Group is open to anyone with an interest in the RIPE Database. The group discusses changes to existing database objects, the creation of new objects and features, distribution of databases and security issues.

The WG encourages deployment of DNS and related protocol components by collecting experience and documenting current practice and recommendations. The Measurement, Analysis and Tools (MAT) Working Group is a forum for the RIPE NCC and the RIPE community to collaborate in the areas of data, tools and analysis relating to the Internet and its infrastructure, with a loose focus on monitoring, diagnosis, analysis and forecasting. The Open Source Working Group facilitates open communication and coordination between open source software developers and the RIPE community, and is a platform through which developers can present recent updates, discuss their plans and receive feedback on their work for the mutual benefit of those developing open source software and those using it.

The RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI) aims to connect members of the academic community with the RIPE community. The RIPE community has strong ties with the academic community ever since the beginning of the Internet in Europe, and the goal of RACI is to strengthen those ties while promoting the work of talented researchers and academics in Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.

A RIPE Diversity Task Force was formed during RIPE 74 and we are looking for volunteers to help create a charter, scope and work together to turn ideas into actions.

The RIPE NCC Services Working Group discusses the tools and services provided by the RIPE NCC, and conducts an ongoing evaluation of the RIPE NCC Activity Plan. The WG does not replace RIPE NCC Membership Meetings, and the RIPE NCC Budget and fee structures are beyond the scope of this WG. This mailing list was preceded by "impt-dev" which was a forum for the development of tools specifically for LIRs and is publicly archived on the RIPE NCC website.

The Routing Working Group defined the RIPE Routing Registry and promoted it worldwide. The WG exchanges information about the various Routing Registries. It is concerned with the growth of routing tables on the Internet and is working to decrease their size in Europe. Anyone with an interest in routing is welcome to observe and participate.
