Hi Daniel,

I think you're overcomplicating this a bit. irc.ripe.net (or any other
IRC network) is fine for Chit-Chat. RIPE discussions/chit-chat is
already happening in network operator group channels right now.

If RIPE spends resources to do this I think it should be brought up at
the GM. I see no benefit in expanding the RIPE IRC server into its own
IRC network.
