[Atlas-anchors-pilot] Provisional hardware specs for Atlas Anchors

Hi,

the server is a standard box and there are only a few things I would like to request.
- Dell is not my favored hardware vendor, too many changes in hardware over time and in Germany (sometimes) a real bad support. We are using HP and have no problems here. But this is not a show stopper, Dell will work too.
- Memory is "only" 0,008 Terabyte but hard disk is around 1,8 Terabyte. In my understanding the box should serve as a meta hub for the measurement network, that means lots of request. You will need good network cards and lots of ram.
- How should the box be connected to the backbone e.g. routing protocol or default route? How many ip´s will be needed?
- Can the Broadcom 5720 network chip process the ip traffic (lots of tiny packets?) (http://bit.ly/PNM59n). My suggestion is, get a "good" four port network card.
- What kind of software will be run on the box?

I am looking forward to the Q & A by Vesna ;-)

Regards
 Stefan
