Wouldn't it help a bit to set: mailer-daemon: /dev/null In /etc/aliases? That's about the worst you can do. Unless you don't care about your organisation. The sad reality is that *lots* of mail can bounce for more or less mysterious reasons, but that at least part of if can be recovered and (re)directed to the right place if there's a human being behind the MAILER-DAEMON alias. My experience is that users do appreciate such a service. Piet
