Measurements and Tools Webinars
RIPE NCC webinars are free for our members. Each webinar is one hour or two hours long depending on the topic. You can also ask our trainers any questions you might have during live webinars.
RIPE Atlas Basics
1 hour
Learn how to use RIPE Atlas measurements for network monitoring and troubleshooting. This webinar is aimed a network operators who have general knowledge about IP networking, DNS and BGP, as well as a programming language such as Java or Python.
Pre-requisites:
- You have a RIPE NCC Access account
- You have logged in and visited atlas.ripe.net web pages
- You have earned at least 20,000 "credits" by either hosting a RIPE Atlas probe or, as a RIPE NCC member, claiming your 1,000,000 credits.
Goals:
- Use RIPE Atlas measurements for network monitoring and troubleshooting
- Use API calls to create measurements
- Integrate RIPE Atlas with existing monitoring systems
RIPEstat

Learn how to automate getting network statistics and data from RIPEstat by using RIPEstat Data API.
Pre-requisites:
- Basic understanding of scripting
- Some familiarity with RIPEstat
- Some familiarity with JSON format
- Some familiarity with Internet data
Goals:
- Query RIPEstat using RIPEstat Data API
- Automate getting and processing network data from RIPEstat
- Visualise RIPEstat data output by writing scripts that make RIPEstat Data API calls
Using RIPE Atlas
2 hours
Monitor your network and troubleshoot it with RIPE Atlas. Create specific tailor-made measurements that suit your exact needs using API calls or the command line interface.
Pre-requisites:

- Use the RIPE Atlas command line interface and the API to create tailor-made measurements
Introduction to the RIPE Database Webinar
1 hour
This free RIPE NCC Webinar will help LIRs understand how to work with the RIPE Database. You will learn how the different RIPE Database objects are connected to each other and how you can create objects.
Pre-requisites: None
Goals:
- Understand the relationship between different RIPE Database objects
- Know where to find the necessary information to work with the RIPE Database
- Identify the main types of objects in the RIPE Database
- Create/update objects in the RIPE Database
- Use flags to make more precise RIPE Database queries
RIPE Database - Advanced Topics Webinar
