Archived: Temporary Reduction of Available History on RIPE Atlas, RIPEstat and DNSMON

On Tuesday, 18 October 2016, between 09:00 and 10:00 UTC, the back-end storage cluster for RIPE Atlas and RIPEstat will be switched to a backup environment. This is part of planned maintenance work. The backup facility has a more limited amount of storage space, which means that RIPE Atlas, RIPEstat and DNSMON will not serve data older than one year. We expect this to have no impact on ongoing RIPE Atlas measurements, scheduling new measurements, or the retrieval of more recent data from RIPE Atlas, RIPEstat or DNSMON.

RIPE Atlas Website Down

The RIPE Atlas website was unavailable from approximately 13:30 - 14:20 UTC due to a database error. The issue has been fixed and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused.

Archived: Intermittent Telephone Issues

We are currently experiencing a problem with our telephone connection. This problem continues from our announcement last week, which is not yet fully resolved.

RIPE NCC Unreachable by Phone

From approximately 06:25 UTC until 09:04 UTC, there were intermittent errors connecting to on port 43. We resolved the issue with a loadbalancer failover. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Upcoming Maintenance Will Affect RIPE and RIPE NCC Services

We will conduct maintenance on our systems on Monday, 11 July between 15:00 and 19:00 UTC. During this time, the RIPE mailing lists, RIPE Forum, RIPE NCC Access, LIR Portal, meeting registration and attendee lists, and training registration will not be available or will have limited functionality. Mails sent to RIPE mailing lists will be queued and processed as soon as the maintenance is complete. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

LIR Portal Service Interruption on 9 July

On Saturday, 9 July between 07:00 and 19:00 UTC we will carry out maintenance on our systems. During this time, certain features of the LIR Portal will be unavailable or will have limited functionality, including: - Membership application form - Resource requests - Updating the registry We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Issue Propagating Domain Object Modifications from RIPE Database to DNS Servers

From 21:15 (UTC) on 25 June 2016 until 28 June 2016, there was a problem propagating Domain object modifications from the RIPE Database to our DNS servers. This means that any changes to Domain objects during this period were not visible in DNS before 13:00 (UTC) on 28 June 2016. We are implementing a countermeasures to avoid future repetition of this incident.
