Hi Denis, > Perhaps the RIPE NCC can check how many AUT-NUM objects exist in > RIPE-NONAUTH for unregistered ASN´s and how many ROUTE(6) objects > reference them. Sure, that's trivial. In fact, anyone could do that with the information published by RIPE NCC and the other RIRs ;) The ripe-nonauth.db.gz on ftp.ripe.net/ripe/dbase holds 2294 aut-num objects. 100 of these ASNs are, at present, unregistered, not listed in any of the RIR's delegated stats files[1]. Except for AS266842, they had been allocated in the past. Some were de-registered in the last few months, others haven't been seen in any of the delegated stats for over a decade. 82 of the 100 unregistered are referenced in a total of 667 route(6) objects. Looking at BGP, 15 of the unregistered ASNs were seen by RIS in this morning's routing table dumps, originating a total of 395 prefixes. > In terms of a cleanup is there any argument for not > doing a one time cleanup of all objects in RIPE-NONAUTH related to > unregistered ASN´s? Leaving that to the working-group to discuss.
