The current rrc06 is running FreeBSD 4.10-BETA; after the upgrade it will be running Debian Linux 3.0 (No RedHat there anywhere). I think that you've been working on the wrong box; ours is certainly a Dell (PowerEdge 2550)! If you can find the box then please reboot it and we will reschedule this work for later in the week. FYI: My wishlist for RIS (and if/when it moves to xrtt, OPS) ticketing system is to be able to check the status and all correspondence on a particular ticket, regardless of receiving yes or all e-mail coming in to the queue. For the *current* ops ticketing system one can see the status via the iii pages, or by doing a "req -show " on the command line (and "reqq" shows open ticket queue) I don't know xrtt, but similar functionality would be quite nice. -- Rene From matthew at ripe.net Wed Jun 23 18:51:54 2004 From: matthew at ripe.net (Matthew Williams) Date: Wed, 23 Jun 2004 18:51:54 +0200 Subject: [ris-int] FW: transit alarms with a single-element AS-PATH Message-ID: <001701c45942$638d8870$2d0200c1@rockstar> > I'm receiving some events (for alarm 545) with only my own > ASN in the path. This is the funtionality I expect to see as well. I have already sent a request to SED to allow people (who are in ris list) to use xrtt. When they enable it, I assume you would be able see all RIS related tickets. > > For the *current* ops ticketing system one can see the status > via the iii pages, or by doing a "req -show " on the > command line (and "reqq" shows open ticket queue) > > I don't know xrtt, but similar functionality would be quite nice. Me neither. In SED, I guess only Timur looks like the guru of xrtt. Then you will see window is divided two half. First one has the list of tickets, each ticket might have more than one e-mail, and the second half has the list of e-mails that are related to ticket you choose at first half. If you try to see the ticket (double left click), you get the error message James sent. If you like to see e-mail related your ticket you should go to second part and do double left click on the message. Also in this part you should see all the replies which is related with this ticket. If you like answer one of those tickets, please first own the ticket by Ticket Data section and then go an reply. Arife > > > it does not work? It looks, it works for me. We do have a CD with a script that installs Linux on a machine with Linux and builds a route collector out of it. It contains the O/S, quagga (bgp client), mysql (db), plus supporting software. If you have a suitable machine (we use Dell Poweredge 1750's, but anything that supports Linux should work) then you can use that as a route collector. We can give you a copy of that CD. This is not something we actively support though, so you are on your own here. An occasional question by email would be fine, we can send you updates of software every once in a while, but that is about all the support we can give. I simply don't have the resources to do anything more. > My question is related for the status of BGPlay, and whether we have > chance of using it for a graphical representation for the data > collected. Thanks for your time in advance. To get a copy of the software, talk to the Rome guys. Once you have a route collector and DB, this should work though. If you are interested, please send me a postal address for the CD, Henk ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Henk Uijterwaal Email: henk.uijterwaal(at)ripe.net RIPE Network Coordination Centre http://www.amsterdamned.org/~henk P.O.Box 10096 Singel 258 Phone: +31.20.5354414 1001 EB Amsterdam 1016 AB Amsterdam Fax: +31.20.5354445 The Netherlands The Netherlands Mobile: +31.6.55861746 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Process and Procedure are the last hiding place of people without the wit and wisdom to do their job properly.
