This survey is being conducted by TNO and GNKS Consult, working with the RIPE NCC and sponsored by the European Commission. The aim is to collect data on the current and future use of IPv6 throughout the RIPE NCC service region, and all members of the RIPE community are encouraged to participate. This allows Tier 0/1 ENUM operators to receive IPv4 and IPv6 anycasting assignments and increases the number of anycasting prefixes that can be assigned to an operator from one to a maximum of four assignments. The term of Dave Wilson, who was elected to the NRO NC in January 2007, ends on 31 December 2009. The election to the NRO NC seat will take place during a Plenary session at the RIPE 59 Meeting to be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 5-9 October 2009. All members of the Internet community who are present at the Plenary session may vote in the election. The deadline for nominations is 9 September 2009. Any individual residing within the RIPE NCC service region is eligible for nomination, except Regional Internet Registry (RIR) staff members. Self-nominations are permitted. Please send your nominations to by 23:00 UTC on 9 September 2009. All confirmed nominations will be listed on the RIPE NCC website by 11 September 2009.
