<p>Hi,</p>
<p>Probes should be tagged either as 'software' or with their
hardware 'version', v[1-4]. V3 == tp-link, V4 == nanopi.<br>
</p>
<p>For the sake of reference and for the list, the hardware versions
are described at the bottom of this page:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://atlas.ripe.net/about/probes/">https://atlas.ripe.net/about/probes/</a></p>
<p>The API will filter by tag if you ask it; for example,
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://atlas.ripe.net/api/v2/probes/?tags=system-v4">https://atlas.ripe.net/api/v2/probes/?tags=system-v4</a>, or
system-software, etc.</p>
<p>Cheers,<br>
</p>
<p>S.</p>

<div>Thanks for the reply! I'm familiar with the tags, but don't
see a tag for the architecture type (tp-link, nano pi et al.)
on the hardware probes. I also wondered if there would be a
way to filter on the probes search page: <a

Marty,<br>
<br>
RIPE Atlas uses "System Tags" to apply this type of
information to <br>
individual probes.<br>
<br>
Here is an example of a Software Probe:<br>
<a href="https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/1000278/"
rel="noreferrer" target="_blank" moz-do-not-send="true">https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/1000278/</a><br>
<br>
Here is an example of a V3 Hardware probe:<br>
<a href="https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/35433/"
rel="noreferrer" target="_blank" moz-do-not-send="true">https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/35433/</a><br>
<br>
When creating new measurements you can choose to either
include or <br>
exclude certain tags depending on what you are trying to
achieve.<br>
<br>
Hope this helps!<br>
<br>
Kind regards,<br>
Matt<br>
