I know after 8 years a lot of had issues. At the moment there are roughly 500 V1 probes connected. The maximum was around a 1000 in 2012. After that there was a slow decline under 2017. Then a drop and after that more or less stable at 500. Surprisingly, V2 probes drop more than V1 probes. Currently there are just a bit over a 1000 V2 probes connected. This is a drop from just under 2000 in 2013. It seems that the V2 probes drop linearly. Note that probe #1 is still connected: https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/1/ Philip
