Hi Sylvain, regarding your questions about hackers events & hackerspaces: (I am cc-ing ambassadors list, because this might be of interest to others... ) On 25/09/2017 18:36, Sylvain Lesage wrote: > - another host wants to use its probe to show in various hackers > meetings. He can use the slide-deck that we offer to all the ambassadors, as PDF or Keynote (with trainer notes!) or PowerPoint... https://www.ripe.net/support/training/material#mat Or even a pretty / glossy brochure, available from here: https://atlas.ripe.net/get-involved/become-a-ripe-atlas-ambassador/ > - another host wants to get the probe circulating every couple of months > between the members of its hacklab. What do you recommend? As Lia said, they can all get their own probe ;-) And the value of the probe in the hacklab is NOT for the hacklab itself, but for the people _outside_ of Bolivia to make the measurements from that one.. and that's the most valuable if it's stable & online as much as possible. Furthermore, I'd like them to add a "tag" on their probe called "hackerspace", so that others know more about their probe... ... because we have a few fun projects with these special probes: https://wiki.techinc.nl/index.php/RIPE_Atlas_probes_at_hackerspaces Tagging them on the hackerspaces.org with "RIPE Atlas": http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/RIPE_Atlas & more... https://labs.ripe.net/Members/becha/the-next-42-ripe-atlas-probes-at-hackerspaces & Hackerspaces Jedi, by Emile Aben: Which is using all the probes in all the hackerspaces & makes a "mesh" traceroute measurement between them & visualizes the results: https://github.com/emileaben/ixp-country-jedi https://program.sha2017.org/events/284.html & the video of his talk: https://media.ccc.de/v/SHA2017-284-hackerspaces_jedi Thanks for reaching out to these alternative communities :) Ciao, Vesna (for the last 6 years, at every RIPE meeting we go visit a local hackerspace... https://labs.ripe.net/Members/becha/six-years-of-hackerspaces-tours-during-ripe-meetings )
