There are instructions for dealing with both cases on the ripe web site, which are (simplified): corrupt filesystem: power down probe, remove USB drive, power up probe, wait 10 minutes, insert USB drive, wait 1 hour corrupt usb drive: power down probe,remove USB key and insert clean 4G+ USB key, power up probe, wait 1 hour The v3 probes seem to be less tolerant to power problems than those of the v1 and v2 probes.
