I'ld like to add my expression of thanks to all involved: co-authors, others responsible for legacy resources, staff and management of the RIPE NCC, the NCC Services WG, and people who raised objections; I won't mention names, as the number of contributors is so great that I'm likely to make significant omissions. It was a privilege for me to be trusted with editing the proposal and to be supported by such a wide variety of input, good advice, and encouragement during the process.
