Using this form, you can now easily report various issues, including abnormalities in Internet number resource registrations, to us for further investigation. By making it easy to report these issues to us and by putting a clear process in place, we aim to work together with you to further improve the quality of the data in the Internet number resource registry. The first release of the form offers basic functionality. We will review the form, its usage and your feedback before deciding whether further development is needed in the future. You can find more details at: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/andrea/ripe-ncc-report-form If you have any questions or feedback, please contact . Message-ID: <4F855EF1.5070500@ripe.net> Dear Atlas Hosts and Sponsors, We are proud to announce the roll-out of user-defined measurements (UDM) for RIPE Atlas. As of today, all hosts and sponsors are invited to run custom measurements. To access UDM, either click on the link at the top right when you are logged in to the RIPE Atlas website, or go directly to: https://atlas.ripe.net/atlas/udm.html Currently, you can schedule two simultaneous measurements to the targets of your choice, from up to 10 probes. You can specify parameters like the area of the probes, IPv4 or IPv6, timing of the measurement, and type (currently ping or traceroute). And you need to have sufficient amount of credits! For the time being, we have created a fairly low rate limit, which we expect to increase over time. More information about limits, credits and other aspects of the UDM system can be found in the documentation: https://atlas.ripe.net/doc/udm Discussion and questions about UDM can be directed to the Atlas mailing list (ripe-atlas at ripe.net). I expect to start the ball rolling on Wednesday, with a discussion of services for legacy resource holders. As I currently see things, legacy resources don't need address policy work, and so should be out of scope for APWG. Services for legacy resource holders do need attention and seem to me to fall naturally within the scope of the NCC Services WG. My slides have to be checked by my co-authors before I can place them on the meeting web site. I'll do this as soon as possible. /Niall From Niall.oReilly at ucd.ie Sun Apr 15 23:18:13 2012 From: Niall.oReilly at ucd.ie (Niall O'Reilly) Date: Sun, 15 Apr 2012 23:18:13 +0200 Subject: [ncc-services-wg] [address-policy-wg] IPv4 Maintenance Policy In-Reply-To: <47225EAC-6342-48EF-8389-CC0366940DF2@ucd.ie> References: <4F8AFDBD.8030203@inex.ie> <20120415200909.GG37149@Space.Net> <47225EAC-6342-48EF-8389-CC0366940DF2@ucd.ie> Message-ID: On 15 Apr 2012, at 22:43, Niall O'Reilly wrote: > My slides have to be checked by my co-authors before I can place them > on the meeting web site. Message-ID: <4F8D0B0A.7090401@ripe.net> Dear colleagues, Following up from the article published last week on RIPE Labs 'From 80 to 8,000 - The Growth of the RIPE NCC Membership', we now looked at those members that closed in the meantime. How many of them were victims of the burst of the dotcom bubble? And which countries were mostly affected? How many closures were the results of mergers? Find some answers on RIPE Labs: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/mirjam/why-do-lirs-close Kind Regards, Mirjam Kuehne RIPE NCC
