ROAs state which Autonomous Systems are authorised to originate the prefixes an LIR holds. The repository currently contains over 350 ROAs covering more than 220,000 IPv4 /24 prefixes, which is almost 10% of the IPv4 address space registered in the RIPE region. Details on individual ROAs were only publicly available by running a command line validation tool. We have now made a Web-based ROA Repository available for everyone. It allows you to download and view details of all ROAs and related certificates, AS Numbers and prefixes. Please check out the page here: https://www.ripe.net/certification/repository If you would like to try out the RIPE NCC Resource Certification system, please have a look at this page for the steps to enable it: http://ripe.net/certification/enable.html Don't forget to create your ROAs and make sure they reflect your BGP routing! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via certification at ripe.net. A more robust X.509 login system, known as Identity Certificate Login 2. A revised user management interface for LIR Portal Administrators You can read more about the changes and how they affect you in this article on RIPE Labs: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/AlexBand/updated-authentication-for-the-lir-portal If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via . It will allow you to use a single set of credentials to access most of our services. This means that all users of our various services will be asked to migrate or update their current login credentials to a new scheme, using your email address and a password of your choice. We will roll out RIPE NCC Access gradually. The first service to adopt this functionality is IS Alarms. All current IS Alarms users will receive an email with instructions on how to set up their RIPE NCC Access account. From Thursday, 15 September 2011, IS Alarms users will not be able to log in with their old credentials. In the following months, other services such as the LIR Portal, DNSMON and RIPE Atlas will follow. We will keep you updated on the progress. We are certain RIPE NCC Access will offer simplified and unified access to our services and improve the overall user experience. Status of Legacy IPv4 Address Space: http://labs.ripe.net/Members/xavier/status-of-legacy-ipv4-address-space This short article shows the responses we received from holders of unannounced IPv4 address space. 2. Registry Data Quality Assessment ? Phase 2: http://labs.ripe.net/Members/xavier/registry-data-quality-assessment-phase-2 This article describes the methodology used for the second phase of the Registry Data Quality activity and the results found. It shows that the quality of records in the RIPE Database is very high. However, there is still work to do, especially related to legacy address space. As the RIPE NCC's pool of available IPv4 addresses depletes, we expect that the number of members wanting to transfer resources will increase. In order to streamline the transfer process, we are launching the RIPE NCC Listing Service. The Listing Service enables members to offer the address blocks they hold and no longer need. Members who want to acquire IPv4 address space can browse the list and request a transfer under the current policy. This policy is can be found online at: https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-524#55 You can read more about this free member service at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/resource-management/listing FAQs about the Listing Service are available at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/resource-management/faq/listing-service If you have any further questions about the Listing Service, please contact us at . This will enable you to access various RIPE NCC services using just one password instead of having to sign in to each tool or service separately. We've already enabled RIPE NCC Access for IS Alarms and the next service scheduled for migration is the LIR Portal. Because this is our most used service, it is likely that you will soon have a RIPE NCC Access account. Because RIPE NCC Access uses your email address as your username, the email address that is currently associated with your LIR Portal account will become your new RIPE NCC Access username. This username can then be used to log into IS Alarms and the LIR Portal and other services as they are migrated to RIPE NCC Access. Please log into the LIR Portal and verify your email address in the top right corner. If you would like to use a different email address than the one displayed for your RIPE NCC Access account, please contact your LIR Portal Administrator and ask them to update it before 17 October, 2011, to ensure a smooth migration. The LIR Portal can be found online at: https://lirportal.ripe.net/ If you have any questions or comments about this, please contact Kind regards, Alex Band Product Manager RIPE NCC -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... After logging into the LIR Portal with your RIPE NCC Access account, you will be able to choose which LIR you want to manage. If you want to make sure this works seamlessly, make sure the email address associated with your LIR Portal accounts are the same, and everything will be migrated automatically. If you prefer to have separated access, you can always choose two different email addresses. In that case you will have two Access accounts, one for each LIR you manage. We will also build the ability to merge two Access accounts, so you can always change your mind at a later stage. Up to now this was a manual process that had to be performed by the RIPE NCC, but we have just implemented a change in the LIR Portal so you can do it yourself. Simply log into the LIR Portal with the Administrator credentials and click the 'Change Admin Email' in the let hand menu.
