As overwhelmed as they are they can't achieve finer granularity (they say). You could request your IP address to be whitelisted (the way this problem is usually handled Jeffrey Race On Wed, 14 Dec 2005 18:05:08 +0200, Tiberiu Ungureanu wrote:>Hello >>Until today, i thought mail is for everyone. The RIPE NCC has not been given any authority to control the way individual network operators configure their networks. However, the RIPE Database contains contact information for the technical and administrative contacts of the networks registered. When it is not possible to send e-mail to contacts it is often possible to call them on the telephone and discuss problems that way. Finally, if you do want to change the country code listed in the RIPE Database for an inetnum object, then you might consider using "EU" instead. It's often used as a placeholder for a two-letter ISO 3166 country code. Affected services were: - internal maildelivery to our ticketing systems were delayed - RIS website was unreachable - TTM online plots generation was not possible Our investigation has shown that the problem was a faulty interfacecard on one of our core switches. The immediate fix was to repatch affected servers onto another interfacecard. The long term solution is that we will replace this switch. We apologise for any disruption or delay this may have caused. If you have any further questions about this matter, please send an e-mail to ops at localhost. Kind regards Gerard Leurs, RIPE NCC
