Glenn,

thank you for the constructive proposal regarding the EUnet
contribution.  *Personally* I believe that it is a proposal well worthy
of the consent of all RIPE NCC contributors because it is constructive
and well within the 1995 funding model. 

As the RIPE NCC manager I sincerely hope that this will turn out to be
one of the final steps towards a situation where the 1995 NCC income is
sufficient to obtain those resources which are badly needed for the NCC
to keep doing its job well and we can concentrate on doing just that. 
Only then can we start to develop a funding model which is more usage
based than the present one. 

Also as the RIPE NCC manager I would like to assure all contributors
that when discussing the operational procedures, the NCC will be careful
to see to it that the operating constraints for the EU.eunet registry
will be the same as for any other registry.
