Well - the IETF considers IP an end-to-end thing, which is a valid point
of view, but obviously not the only one. Especially for security reasons,
things like proxies might be desireable, which also break end-to-end IP,
just at a different layer.
I'm not saying that NAT is the cure for all evils, I just want to
state that it is not the *root* of all evils either.
