Dear colleagues,

This is the last in a series of articles in which we looked at traffic 
statistics at Internet Exchange Points during the European Championship 
2012. This time we looked at IXP traffic during the semi-finals and the 
final. In addition we also look back over the entire 5 weeks of matches 
and draw some conclusions.

Mirjam,

The conclusion I drew based on noise level is that the neighborhood I was staying in in Geneva was mostly Italian and Portuguese. :-)


On a more serious note, I'm still poring over the reports but can you tell me if there are any statistics on sources and sinks of traffic?  Specifically, I'm curious about an increase in traffic sourced in Europe and destined for networks outside of Europe.
