This time we looked at IXP traffic during the semi-finals and the final. In addition we also look back over the entire 5 weeks of matches and draw some conclusions. https://labs.ripe.net/Members/fergalc/internet-traffic-during-euro-2012-final-conclusions Kind regards, Mirjam Kuehne RIPE NCC From chsharp at cisco.com Fri Jul 13 19:55:56 2012 From: chsharp at cisco.com (Chip Sharp (chsharp)) Date: Fri, 13 Jul 2012 17:55:56 +0000 Subject: [eix-wg] New on RIPE Labs: Internet Traffic During Euro 2012 - Final Conclusions In-Reply-To: <50003336.8070502@ripe.net> References: <50003336.8070502@ripe.net> Message-ID: <485A40CC-177C-44CD-9070-0347A5D3B4CC@cisco.com> Mirjam, The conclusion I drew based on noise level is that the neighborhood I was staying in in Geneva was mostly Italian and Portuguese. :-) On a more serious note, I'm still poring over the reports but can you tell me if there are any statistics on sources and sinks of traffic? Specifically, I'm curious about an increase in traffic sourced in Europe and destined for networks outside of Europe.
