In short, we have things live like this: lb._dns-sd._udp.0.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR example.com. The result is similar to do the same queries in .local TLD (but then most of the time using mDNS). See section 11 of http://files.dns-sd.org/draft-cheshire-dnsext-dns-sd.txt for example. Patrik
