Dear all,
I am responding to the invitation for volunteers for the taskforce, and
also for contributions to the draft charter.
I would like to make some suggestions on the charter, but I see etherpad
does not have change control markings. So while I could add new sections
easily enough, if I were to change or delete existing text, that would
hide what others have written before me, which isn't my intention. I
also fear it might not be well received by the original author of those
words.
I know Google docs represents deletions/edits with a strikethrough on
the original text, rather than suppressing it - but I also know that
some people prefer not to use Google docs, and etherpad may have been
chosen quite deliberately.
So my first question is, how would you prefer to receive such
contributions? Would you like me to start a new etherpad, for example?
Malcolm.
