It is not necessary to request an autonomous system (AS) number for a PI
assignment.

An AS number is only required if the network is going to be multi-homed with
its own unique routing policy.

If you do require a AS number for this network because it will be
multi-homed with its own unique routing policy then you should correctly and
completely fill out the form found here:
