We have been told that we need to notify RIPE of the change of AS Number and the RIPE name of the new ISP, is this correct? How long does this take and who do I need to contact to make this change? This means that if we assigned the PI space/AS Number to your organisation and you will continue to use the resources; you are only changing ISPs, there is no need to contact the RIPE NCC hostmasters. You can find more information at the following URLs: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ipv4-policies.html#pa_pi http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/asn-assignment.html Best regards, Ingrid Wijte ___________________________ RIPE Database Administration. Message-ID: <25D978D5FD74C44E99AC2147142D06890A5D4890@i2km02-ukbr.domain1.systemhost.net> Hi I'm looking for some guidance. If a customers address space is registered in another RIR like ARIN and we are announcing it from a ASN registered in RIPE or visa-versa where should we create the route object in ARIN or RIPE. If in RIPE is there any authorization hierarchy for doing this, I suspect not? Regards Paul
